Haryana to Allocate 100 Sq Yard Plots to 7500+ BPL Families
Eligibility for the scheme will be determined based on the BPL survey conducted by the Rural Development Department. Beneficiaries must not own any house or plot of 100 square yards or more and should not be income tax payees or employed in government or semi-government establishments. A village-level committee, including local officials and community leaders, will be formed to identify eligible families and ensure transparency in the selection process.
The decision to distribute these plots is part of a series of welfare measures introduced by the Haryana Cabinet to uplift the socio-economic status of marginalised communities. This policy reflects the government?s commitment to providing basic amenities and improving the quality of life for BPL families across the state.
