HFCL Gains On Securing Rs 4.958 bn International Order

HFCL (the company) rose one point zero one per cent to Rs 217.30 after it secured an international order worth about $51.98 million, which equates to Rs 4.958 bn for the supply of optical fibre cable based data centre connectivity solutions. The contract calls for the supply of optical fibre cable based connectivity solutions tailored to the customer's specifications and is to be executed by December 2026. The transaction value in rupee terms corresponds to approximately Rs 4.958 bn.

The contract was awarded by an international customer under general contract conditions and does not involve any related party transaction, the company said, adding that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The order is scheduled for execution by December 2026 and forms part of HFCL's international project commitments. The company clarified standard commercial terms govern the award.

The latest order strengthens HFCL's international order book and underscores its growing presence in the global optical networking and data centre infrastructure market, the company said. HFCL is a diversified telecom infrastructure enabler with businesses spanning telecom infrastructure development, system integration, and the manufacture and supply of high end telecom equipment, optical fibre and optical fibre cables. The business mix includes network deployment and equipment manufacturing for enterprise and carrier customers.

On a consolidated basis HFCL reported net profit of Rs 1.785 bn in the quarter ended March 2026 as against a net loss of Rs 814.3 mn in the quarter ended March 2025. Net sales surged 127.81 per cent year on year to Rs 18.2412 bn in the quarter ended March 2026. The company said the transaction will bolster its order book and support its international expansion.
