Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) has launched the Combined Operational Review and Evaluation (CORE) Programme, a five-day initiative being held from September 22 to 26, 2025, at the United Service Institution of India, New Delhi.
The CORE Programme is a unique platform that brings together senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces and officials from the ministries of Defence, External Affairs, and Home Affairs for civil-military engagement on national security.
Key themes of the programme include regional and global security challenges, the impact of technological transformation on warfare, the role of strategic communication, and the importance of enhancing civil-military synergy in tackling multidimensional threats.
Through lectures and discussions with subject matter experts and leading professionals, participants will gain comprehensive exposure to pressing national and regional security concerns. The initiative is designed to broaden perspectives, foster joint problem-solving, and equip senior officers with the insights necessary to take informed and balanced decisions in future leadership roles.
Reflecting HQ IDS’s focus on jointness and professional development, the programme aims to strengthen intellectual foundations, build strategic awareness, and prepare future leaders to navigate the complexities of the contemporary security landscape.
