HQ IDS to Host Second Edition of Tri-Services Future Warfare Course

The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) will conduct the second edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course from 21st April to 9th May 2025 at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi. Organised under the aegis of HQ IDS and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), the course builds on the success of the inaugural session held in September 2024.

Focus on Technological Advancements in Warfare This three-week course aims to address the evolving challenges of modern warfare. It will offer an enhanced curriculum with in-depth discussions on how technological advancements are reshaping military strategies, doctrines, and operational priorities. The course remains rank-agnostic, promoting diverse participation from officers of various ranks, along with representatives from DRDO and the defence industry, including start-ups, MSMEs, and DPSUs.

The initiative continues to support the vision of Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, to ensure the Armed Forces are "future ready", with an emphasis on fostering jointness and integration among the services.
