Hutchinson SA (Hutchinson) and Dynamatic Technologies Limited (Dynamatic) have signed a memorandum of agreement to address India’s fast growing aerospace market and to position both firms as partners for global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the region. The pact combines Hutchinson’s advanced composite and multi-material systems expertise with Dynamatic’s capabilities in metallic aero-structures and assemblies. It aims to strengthen the supply chain for complex and high rate aircraft programmes in India.

Hutchinson develops composite solutions and integrated systems from design to serial production, supporting OEMs on performance, weight reduction, sustainability and competitiveness. For aerospace and defence the group operates 38 production sites worldwide and pursues local manufacturing to stay close to customers. Its industrialisation capability is presented as central to meeting stringent sector requirements.

Dynamatic brings expertise in metallic aerostructures and class one assemblies and aims to showcase India’s aerospace manufacturing globally. The company operates vertically integrated facilities with alloy making, casting and captive low carbon energy sources to enable complex, scalable production. Dynamatic employs over 2,000 personnel across India and Europe, including 60 scientists and 700 engineers.

Under the agreement Dynamatic will award Hutchinson an initial composite parts work package while Hutchinson will award Dynamatic a multi-year metallic parts contract. The deals mark a first step intended to support ramp up of aircraft programmes and to prepare for next generation aircraft. Partners expect the cooperation to accelerate product development and industrial competitiveness for customers.

Senior executives characterised the alliance as a shared commitment to long term development of India’s aerospace ecosystem and said Hutchinson’s presence in the country through automotive activities complements the partnership. They indicated the cooperation will bring enhanced industrial competitiveness and specialised expertise to OEMs while enabling value engineering and faster product development. The agreement is framed as a transformative step for the global aerospace supply chain that leverages both metallic and composite capabilities.
