India AI Impact Summit 2026 Draws 35,000 Registrations

The India AI Impact Summit will be held in New Delhi from 16 to 20 February 2026 and is expected to be the largest of the four global AI summits hosted to date, reflecting growing international momentum around responsible, inclusive and impact-driven artificial intelligence. The organisers report more than 35,000 registrations ahead of the event and say the summit will prioritise translating vision into execution with a focus on outcomes that matter on the ground. The five-day gathering is positioned as a platform for practical commitments and collaborative initiatives.

Governments, industry leaders, researchers, civil society organisations and international institutions are scheduled to attend and contribute to the summit programme, with participation expected from over 100 countries. The event is likely to include between 15 and 20 heads of government, more than 50 ministers and over 40 chief executive officers of leading global and Indian companies. Around 500 prominent figures from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and chief technology officers, are also anticipated to take part.

The summit will feature a startup showcase with over 500 AI startups and will host approximately 500 sessions alongside the main programme, creating one of the most comprehensive AI convenings globally. More than 1,300 proposals were received for pre-summit events and organisers report that in excess of 500 pre-summit events have been conducted across sectors and regions in India and internationally. The framework includes seven flagship events collectively engaging 0.3 million (mn) participants, underscoring wide national and international interest.

Further details on the programme, thematic focus areas and participation modalities are available on the official summit website and stakeholders are encouraged to register to join the dialogue aimed at advancing the responsible and impactful use of artificial intelligence. Media accreditation is open and only accredited media representatives will be permitted to cover the proceedings, with applications required via the official portal; the media accreditation window closes on eight February 2026. The summit is presented as a step towards operationalising shared principles and driving tangible outcomes.
