The Fire & Fury Corps of the Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbornics Defence & Space (ADSL), a company under the JCBL Group, to establish a New Generation Vehicle (NGV) Repair Hub and Warehouse within the 14 Corps Zonal Workshop in Leh.

This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing the Army’s logistics and operational readiness by creating a dedicated OEM-backed maintenance and repair ecosystem for next-generation vehicles deployed in the high-altitude region.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at Headquarters 14 Corps, Leh, in the presence of Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, Corps Commander, 14 Corps, who presided over the event. Brig Nipoon Sood, Brig EME, 14 Corps signed the agreement on behalf of the Indian Army. Senior officers from the formation, including the General Officers Commanding (GoCs) of divisions located in Ladakh, attended the ceremony.

Representing JCBL Group, Raj Kumar Pandey (Director & CEO) and Col Rajwinder Singh (Retd) (COO) were present, along with representatives from other major industrial partners including TASL, BFL, Polaris, JSW, and MDSL.

Under the collaboration, JCBL Group (ADSL) will provide comprehensive defence manufacturing expertise, technical support, training, retro-modification, and R&D capabilities through the NGV Hub framework at Leh. The company will also maintain ready stocks of fast-moving spare parts and supply critical components and assemblies through its domestic and international group companies, supporting both Ordnance and EME channels of the Indian Army.

Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla highlighted that the partnership would significantly improve operational readiness across 14 Corps and emphasized the importance of industry integration at forward locations to ensure quicker maintenance and logistics turnaround. He also shared that the Army plans to expand such industry-linked facilities to three additional forward areas within the Corps’ area of responsibility.
