IndusInd Bank Goes Live With Next?Gen UPI Processing Platform
The rollout delivers 30 per cent faster recovery time (RTO) and up to 75 per cent higher scalability headroom compared with the prior infrastructure. The platform is designed to provide sub?second response times, near?zero technical declines and seamless disaster recovery within minutes. Together these capabilities are intended to ensure superior transaction reliability and operational continuity even during peak volumes.
The initiative forms part of the bank’s Digital 2.0 strategy to create a seamless, secure and intuitive banking ecosystem for individuals, merchants and enterprises. As of 31 December 2025 the bank serves around 42 million (mn) customers through 3,120 branches and banking outlets and 3,063 ATMs, reaching 0.162 million (mn) villages across India. The upgrade is expected to enhance payment experiences for millions of customers and merchants nationwide.
IndusInd Bank has been redefining banking for 31 years and offers products that include microfinance, personal loans, debit and credit cards, SME lending, advanced digital banking, affluent and NRI services, vehicle financing and ESG?linked financial products. The bank holds clearing bank status for the major stock exchanges BSE and NSE and settlement bank status for NCDEX, and is empanelled for MCX. The new processing platform therefore reinforces the bank’s focus on technology driven resilience and customer centricity.
