Backed by a 50 per cent funding pledge in Maharashtra’s February 2024 interim budget, the 174 km line (Rs7,106 crore) will feature 17 stations from Nashirabad to Dinagaon, including a direct link to the Ajanta Caves UNESCO World Heritage Site, and engineering marvels such as three tunnels, 130 minor bridges, and three major bridges. Once operational, it will significantly boost connectivity and economic growth in Marathwada and North Maharashtra, benefitting farmers, students, traders, and tourists alike.
