IWG Adds 43 Locations in India in H1 2026

International Workplace Group (IWG), the global flexible workspace provider with brands including Regus and Spaces, signed 728 new locations globally in the first half of 2026, expanding its network to more than 6,000 signed locations across over 120 countries.

India contributed 43 new location signings during the period, becoming IWG’s third-largest growth market worldwide and its fastest-growing market in Asia. The company reported that its record expansion was supported by rising demand for hybrid working solutions.

Around 95% of IWG’s new locations were delivered through its capital-light managed partnership model, enabling the company to expand its network while allowing property owners and investors to generate value from existing commercial assets.

The United States recorded the highest number of new signings with 187 locations, followed by the United Kingdom with 62, India with 43 and China with 42.

In India, IWG currently operates 125 open centres across 37 cities under its Regus, Spaces and HQ brands. Its presence extends beyond major metros to cities including Coimbatore, Mohali, Ludhiana, Surat, Jaipur and Indore.

All new Indian locations signed during the period were developed through managed partnerships with local building owners. The company also has more than 200 additional centres in its India pipeline.

Harsh Lambah, Country Head, India, IWG, said, “India is now IWG’s third-largest growth market globally, reflecting how quickly the way businesses work is changing. Enterprises, GCCs and homegrown businesses are rethinking where their teams work and how much space they need, and flexible workspace is becoming an increasingly important part of that decision.”

He added that the managed partnership model is helping IWG expand into cities such as Coimbatore, Ludhiana and Surat while reducing the capital requirements associated with traditional expansion.

IWG’s growth comes amid increasing demand for flexible office solutions in India. According to the company, flex operators have recorded rising activity as businesses increasingly adopt hybrid work models and seek adaptable workspace options.

Christian Schmitz, CEO of International Workplace Group, said the company’s record first-half performance reflects the expansion of its platform and growing customer demand for flexible workspace solutions.

The company is continuing to expand across major cities as well as smaller towns and regional markets, targeting opportunities created by the growth of hybrid working and the evolving requirements of businesses worldwide.
