Jyoti Structures Energises Key 400 kV Lines in Ahmedabad

Jyoti Structures Limited, a listed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company specialising in power transmission infrastructure, has announced the successful charging of critical sections of the 400 kilovolt (kV) multi-circuit transmission network between Pirana and Ahmedabad. The development marks a significant milestone in project execution and advances the completion of the transmission corridor serving the region. The commissioning follows detailed technical preparations and adherence to established safety protocols.

The transmission line from Torrent Power Grid Limited (TPL), Pirana to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Ahmedabad circuit one was charged at 17:15:45 hrs on 19 February 2026. Subsequently, the line from PGCIL, Pirana to PGCIL, Ahmedabad was energised at 19:20 hrs on the same day. Both operations were completed after scheduled checks and coordination with the grid operators and reflect milestone pacing in the overall programme.

Company officials indicated that the accomplishment reflects technical expertise, meticulous planning and seamless coordination by the project team. Teams overcame multiple operational and technical challenges to ensure a smooth, safe and reliable commissioning process. The successful energisation is expected to strengthen regional grid stability and support reliable delivery of electricity to consumers and industries in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas.

The chief executive officer, Rajesh Kumar Singh, described the energisation as a key milestone that brings the project closer to completion and underlined the firm’s continued focus on timely execution and the highest safety standards while acknowledging stakeholder support.
