The minister said the government will extend full support to promote fresh investments, develop infrastructure and strengthen cooperation between industry and academic institutions. The announcement stressed coordinated action across departments to streamline approvals and improve facilities. Officials also highlighted plans to engage private partners and to offer sector-specific incentives aimed at accelerating project implementation and capacity building.

Kerala is fully prepared to utilise the immense opportunities available in the space and defence sectors, and the government committed to provide necessary support to attract investments and promote technological advancement. That support will include targeted policy incentives, infrastructure upgrades at key sites and initiatives to develop a suitably skilled workforce. Plans will also involve strengthening research and development facilities and encouraging industry-led testing and certification centres. Officials indicated an emphasis on integrating local universities and technical institutes into project planning and execution.

The strategy envisages fostering start-ups and micro, small and medium enterprises as part of the supply chain while enhancing connectivity to ports and airports to support manufacturing and logistics.
