Korean Air Adopts Ramco Aviation Suite For Engine Maintenance
The Ramco Aviation Suite supports seamless collaboration and process integration across engine maintenance, finance, customer support and billing. The solution integrates with internal and external platforms, including Korean Air's Automated Storage Retrieval System for efficient warehouse management, connecting the airline with customers and suppliers through industry-standard technologies and ensuring interoperability and scalability. The platform delivers real-time intelligence on maintenance operations, providing leadership with data-driven insights on capacity versus production throughput, cost and revenue metrics and overall profit and loss performance.
More than 400 mechanics and engineers at Korean Air are now using Ramco's Mechanic Anywhere mobile application for digital maintenance execution, eliminating manual bottlenecks, reducing queue times and optimising workflows to deliver faster turnaround and enhanced operational efficiency. Ramco will supply monitoring and execution tools to support paperless working and workforce mobility across the Engine Maintenance Centre. The digital shift is described as intended to increase transparency and improve decision making for maintenance planning.
The Aviation Suite will also be a key digital component of Korean Air's upcoming engine maintenance cluster, set to open in 2027 and described as Asia's largest engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub. The implementation is intended to lay the technology groundwork necessary for scalable operations and collaboration among stakeholders across the cluster. The initiative is positioned to support the airline's strategic objectives for capacity expansion and enhanced maintenance capabilities.
