KP Group, PP Savani University Offer 120 BTech Scholarships

KP Group (KPG) and PP Savani University (PPSU) have announced a scholarship programme to support 120 students to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree. The initiative is described as aimed at expanding access to technical education and reducing financial barriers for students from diverse backgrounds. The partners said the scholarships form part of a broader commitment to nurturing engineering talent and strengthening links between industry and academia.

The scholarship scheme will cover multiple cohorts of new entrants to the BTech programme and is expected to provide financial assistance for tuition and related academic costs. Selection criteria will focus on academic merit and potential for contribution to technological fields while also taking into account socioeconomic factors that limit access to higher education. KPG and PPSU plan to administer the awards jointly, with a shared governance structure to oversee applications and disbursements.

Organisers anticipate that the awards will support skills development and improve employability prospects for recipients by enabling uninterrupted study and access to campus resources. The partners intend to complement financial support with mentoring, industry exposure and curricular inputs designed to align learning outcomes with current engineering demands. The emphasis on practical training and industry linkages is expected to create a pipeline of job-ready graduates.

The announcement follows a trend among private groups and universities to expand scholarship offerings as a means of building talent pools and addressing workforce needs in technology sectors. KPG and PPSU indicated that monitoring and evaluation mechanisms will be put in place to assess the scheme's impact and to refine support measures over time. The partners expressed an intention to explore further collaborations to extend opportunities in technical education.
