KPIT Technologies has acquired the Engineering Solutions business of Caresoft Global for USD 191 million. This acquisition supports KPIT’s expansion into truck and off-highway engineering, marks its entry into the Chinese market, and enhances manufacturing engineering capabilities within the mobility sector.

The agreement includes a USD 25 million variable consideration, tied to revenue milestones and strategic business synergies. KPIT may pay this amount in one or multiple instalments over four years, either in cash or equity shares.

Through this deal, KPIT gains full ownership of Caresoft entities located in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, and Italy. Caresoft reported a turnover of USD 51 million in 2024, employing nine hundred professionals worldwide, specialising in automotive benchmarking and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Caresoft is restructuring into three distinct verticals: benchmarking and technology optimisation, engineering talent solutions, and engineering services. KPIT plans to leverage Caresoft’s strong presence in China, expanding into new areas such as software benchmarking and industrial engineering, including plant layout and assembly line optimisation.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen KPIT’s competitive advantage in integrated mobility engineering solutions globally.
