Lemon Tree Hotels Signs Resort In Lonavala Maharashtra
Lonavala, located in the Sahyadri hills, is a popular leisure destination in western India known for scenic landscapes and a pleasant climate that attracts weekend travellers, destination weddings and corporate offsites. The resort sits approximately 69 km from Navi Mumbai International Airport, about one hour 17 minutes by road, and around five point eight km from Lonavala Railway Station, offering convenient connectivity for guests from major cities. This positioning is expected to support both leisure demand and event business across the seasons.
LTHL currently operates 15 properties in Maharashtra, with 14 more in the pipeline including this signing, further deepening its presence in the state. The group operates more than 120 hotels across over 80 cities and maintains a pipeline of more than 130 upcoming properties, reflecting ongoing expansion into metro and tier two and three markets. Since opening its first 49 room hotel in 2004 the company has grown to more than 260 operational and upcoming properties and continues to pursue growth domestically and abroad.
The company noted that the resort will complement its existing leisure portfolio and provide a branded option for travellers seeking short breaks and event venues. Management indicated that the signing aligns with efforts to build scale in Maharashtra and to offer consistent service standards across leisure destinations. Further operational details and opening timelines will be announced in due course.
