L&T Technology Services Divests Smart World And Communication Unit

L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) announced on 25 March 2026 that it has divested its Smart World and Communication business to AMI Paradigm Solutions Private Limited (AMI Paradigm). The company said the move forms part of portfolio rebalancing intended to accelerate investment in digital engineering and core artificial intelligence capabilities. The transaction will reposition LTTS to focus on higher growth engineering offerings.

AMI Paradigm is a special purpose entity established by ParadigmIT Technology Services Private Limited (ParadigmIT) and AM Intelligence Labs Private Limited (AM Intelligence), promoted by the founders of the Greenko Group. The entity focuses on advancing AI for public systems and critical infrastructure and has signed a binding agreement to acquire the SWC operations across India and other markets. The capabilities are expected to complement AMI Paradigm's long term growth strategy.

LTTS said the divestment will free capital to accelerate Engineering Intelligence (EI), which is identified as a key growth area under its five year Lakshya Plan. The plan sharpens focus on six large technology bets, including EI, software and digital manufacturing, to drive faster expansion across the Mobility, Tech and Sustainability segments. The company anticipates this pivot will consolidate its position as a global engineering intelligence partner.

LTTS noted that AMI Paradigm will integrate the Smart World capabilities to strengthen AI offerings for mission critical public sector systems and infrastructure, while providing a platform for SWC employees and customers. AM Group and ParadigmIT executives stressed that advances in compute and accelerator chipsets are enabling domain specific intelligence and real world applications. They indicated the combined entity will build an AI led platform focused on domain specific models, sovereign AI architectures and outcome driven systems for governments and enterprises.

L&T Technology Services is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro and offers design, development, testing and sustenance services. The company reported a customer base that includes 69 Fortune 500 companies and 57 ER&D firms and said it had over 23,635 employees across 22 global design centres, 31 global sales offices and 100 innovation labs as of 31 December 2025.
