Lucknow Civic Body Begins Demolition of Illegal Structures

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation has initiated a major crackdown on illegal constructions across the city. The recent drive targeted unauthorised structures in several areas, including Indira Nagar and Campal Road. This action is part of a larger campaign to clear encroachments and ensure compliance with city planning regulations.

In Indira Nagar, illegal buildings were demolished by the civic body, supported by police personnel from the Ghazipur and Indira Nagar police stations. Despite multiple notices issued to the property owners over the past six months, the illegal constructions continued, prompting the municipal authorities to take decisive action.

Similarly, on Campal Road, the municipal corporation bulldozed unauthorised establishments built without legal permission. The development authorities had previously issued several warnings to the owners, but the illegal activities persisted. The latest demolitions are part of a broader effort to enforce urban planning laws and improve traffic flow and safety in the city.

These demolition drives reflect the municipal corporation's commitment to upholding the rule of law and addressing issues of unauthorised construction that disrupt urban development and planning. The authorities have warned that similar actions will continue against other illegal constructions in the city to maintain order and legality in urban infrastructure.
