Mahindra Aerostructures, Spain’s Aernnova Sign $300m Deal
Mahindra Aerostructures, the aerospace division of the Mahindra Group, has signed a $300 million contract with Spain’s Aernnova to collaborate on the design and manufacturing of advanced aircraft components. This strategic partnership is set to enhance Mahindra’s capabilities in high-precision machining, composite assemblies, and systems integration for global aerospace clients.
As part of the agreement, Mahindra Aerostructures will leverage its Bangalore manufacturing facility to jointly develop and supply critical aerostructures and fuselage components. These parts will support both civil and defence aerospace programmes, opening new avenues in the global aviation supply chain.
The collaboration will enable technology transfer and skill enhancement in advanced aerospace manufacturing techniques. The partnership is expected to generate approximately Rs 25 billion in revenue over the course of the agreement, bolstering India’s position in high-value aerospace exports and contributing to the government’s Make in India initiative.
Leadership from both companies emphasised the partnership’s alignment with their long-term visions. It will not only enhance Mahindra’s capabilities but also expand Aernnova’s global sourcing network. The alliance underscores a growing trend of international co‑development of aerospace systems, offering enhanced resilience and cost efficiency.
The Mahindra–Aernnova deal significantly elevates Mahindra Aerostructures’ role in international aviation, reinforcing India’s emergence as a reliable destination for aerospace manufacturing and engineering.
