Mahindra & Mahindra announced on Tuesday that it plans to establish 250 electric vehicle charging stations, each equipped with 180 kW chargers, by the end of 2027.

The network will comprise 1,000 charging points across the 250 stations, aligning with the government’s focus on strengthening public EV infrastructure and accelerating nationwide EV adoption, the Mumbai-based automaker said in a statement.

Mahindra has already inaugurated the first two Charge_IN stations—one in Hoskote on NH 75 along the Bengaluru–Chennai highway, and another in Murthal on NH 44, around 50 kilometres from Delhi.

“Electric mobility is about driving a larger shift towards cleaner, sustainable transportation. XEV 9e and BE 6, with their real-world range of 500 kilometres, ensure drivers feel confident on long journeys. With our ultra-fast Charge_IN network, we will create an open and accessible system for all EV users,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division.

The Charge_IN stations will be strategically located along key highway corridors, the company added. Each site will feature wayside amenities such as restaurants and cafés, making them convenient halting points for travellers.
