Maiden Forgings Secures Key Defence Certification from CEMILAC

Maiden Forgings Limited (MFL), a leading producer of bright steel bars and wires, has been officially registered with the Centre for Military Airworthiness & Certification (CEMILAC), Bengaluru, under the Ministry of Defence. The certification marks a significant milestone for the company, strengthening its entry into India’s expanding indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem.

With this approval, MFL is now eligible to supply products for defence applications, further integrating the company into the country’s Business-to-Government (B2G) and defence supply chains. The registration builds on MFL’s existing supplier status with the Ordnance Factory Board and supports its strategic shift towards high-value, technology-intensive sectors.

Managing Director Nishant Garg said the certification reaffirms the company’s focus on precision, quality, and reliability—key requirements for defence and aerospace components. “This recognition from CEMILAC validates our manufacturing excellence and opens new avenues for collaboration with defence establishments. It also strengthens our contribution to the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission,” he noted.

The company stated that the certification underscores its long-term commitment to diversification and its alignment with national priorities of boosting indigenous defence production.
