The Thermo Screen eliminates heat related blinding, pegging and clogging by creating a self cleaning action that sustains flow and reduces interruptions. One asphalt production plant reported up to 35 per cent higher throughput and 40 per cent lower maintenance costs after replacing traditional screens with Thermo Screens on all decks, and the upgrade also improved screen media durability. Traditional constructions use polyurethane to connect wires in tensioned and modular screen media, but polyurethane can melt in high heat and reduce performance. The upgraded design reportedly provides consistent performance regardless of weather or material challenges and reduces heat related failures.
