Marriott Opens First Autograph Collection Hotel in Karnal

Marriott International has opened NoorMahal Delhi NCR Karnal, marking the debut of its Autograph Collection Hotels brand in India. The 176-room property sits on NH44 in Karnal, Haryana, along the historic Grand Trunk Road and becomes Marriott Bonvoy's 19th brand in India, bringing the company's portfolio to 220 hotels in India and 235 properties across South Asia.

NoorMahal offers a mix of guestrooms and suites, including Raja Niwas and Khwabgah penthouses with private terraces, larger living areas and butler service. Food and beverage outlets are positioned to showcase regional Indian cuisine alongside all-day dining and dessert concepts designed for leisure and events.

The hotel is positioned within driving distance of Delhi, Chandigarh, Ambala and Ludhiana, with Chandigarh International Airport and Indira Gandhi International Airport both around two hours away, while Karnal Railway Station is approximately 15 minutes from the property. This location is expected to serve business and leisure travellers from the wider National Capital Region and neighbouring states.

On-site facilities include a spa, an outdoor pool, a gymnasium, tennis courts, pickleball facilities, ziplining and rock-climbing offerings, and a children's play zone. The property provides more than 300,000 square feet of event space for weddings, conferences and social functions, with key venues such as Rani ka Bagh, Raja ka Bagh, Sheesh Mahal and Darbar Hall.

NoorMahal is owned by Colonel Manbeer Choudhary, Binny Choudhary and Kr. Roop Partap Singh, and Marriott has positioned the opening as a strategic addition to its branded portfolio in India. The company frames the Autograph Collection as a design-led brand that emphasises place and individuality, with NoorMahal joining more than 360 celebrated hotels worldwide and helping to deepen Marriott's presence in the region.
