Mindspace EcoRun 2.0 was designed as a planet friendly event and featured eco conscious race kits such as plantable bibs, organic jerseys and refillable hydration stations, along with biodegradable cutlery. These measures aimed to reduce single use consumption and improve waste management. The approach highlighted how large scale events can minimise environmental impact while promoting fitness.
An EcoRun Expo on February 20 and 21 hosted a Sustainability Flea Market showcasing responsibly sourced products and creating livelihood opportunities for specially abled individuals and women from underprivileged communities with NGO partner Nirmaan. Event waste will be upcycled into functional chairs to be donated to school children supported by partner NGOs. He added that organisers anticipate growing the platform year after year to deepen its footprint.
