The Prime Minister disclosed plans to support skilled individuals in traditional crafts through the Vishwakarma Yojana, focusing on the Other Backward Class (OBC) community. He emphasized that weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, and similar professions will benefit from this scheme, with an initial allocation of ₹130-150 billion.

Highlighting India's rising global stature, Modi emphasized the country's enhanced standing and the potential to shape the evolving global order post-COVID-19. He underscored India's role as a voice for the Global South and its positive impact on the global economy and supply chain.

Modi's speech drew criticism from opposition parties. The Congress party spokesperson, Pawan Khera, questioned the Prime Minister's stance on corruption and dynastic politics, given his political alliances.

In terms of inflation, Modi acknowledged efforts to control it but cautioned against complacency, especially in the face of a 15-month high retail inflation rate of 7.44% in July.

Modi's address conveyed his ambition to elevate India's global position, with a vision for the nation to achieve developed status by 2047. He emphasized the importance of a strong national character for India's journey towards prosperity and stability in the global scenario.
