MOIL Awards Rs 1.68bn Shaft Project To SEPC
The contract was awarded through a global tender process, with SEPC emerging as the lowest bidder. The order value stands at Rs 1.68 billion for the domestic scope, along with USD 3.65 million towards imported plant and machinery.
The scope of work involves complete turnkey execution, including engineering, civil construction, furnishing and installation of equipment. The project is expected to enhance mining infrastructure and improve operational efficiency at the Chikla Mine.
MOIL Limited is a government-owned Miniratna central public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel. The Government of India holds a majority stake of around 53.35 per cent in the company, along with state government shareholdings, classifying it as a PSU.
