MPLADS Funds Used For Road Project In Aswaraopalli
Kaladhar Rao, the foundation chairman, reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to rural development in line with the ideals of the late Potlapalli Kamala Manohar Rao. He signalled that the foundation will continue to support infrastructure projects that improve livelihoods. Foundation officials described the road as part of a broader local development agenda. The chairman emphasised continuity with past initiatives and noted an emphasis on sustainable, locally appropriate interventions.
The road was realised with support from the member of parliament local area development scheme, commonly referred to as MPLADS, and the foundation noted the assistance of Suresh Reddy in bringing the scheme to the project. The work was executed at a cost of Rs three point seven million (mn), reflecting the conversion of a Rs thirty seven lakh allocation to the standard million unit. Project managers reported that the investment covered surfacing and drainage measures to ensure durability.
Local leaders and residents said the new link will significantly improve connectivity to markets, schools and health services and is expected to reduce travel time and transport costs for daily commuters. The foundation indicated that the road will enhance access to economic opportunities and basic services and that similar small scale interventions remain central to its rural development strategy. Officials suggested monitoring would continue to assess benefits soon.
