NALCO Promotes Angul Park as India’s Aluminium Hub

National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO), along with the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), showcased investment opportunities at Angul Aluminium Park during a roadshow in Bhubaneswar. The event attracted government officials, industry leaders and investors from across the aluminium value chain.

Spread over 223 acres, Angul Aluminium Park is designed as a world-class industrial zone with uninterrupted power, water supply, road connectivity, training centres and testing labs. Plans are underway to expand the park to over 600 acres.

NALCO will supply 50,000 tonnes of hot metal annually to units within the park, ensuring cost efficiency for downstream industries. Odisha currently accounts for nearly 72% of India’s primary aluminium output, making it the country’s leading aluminium producer.

“NALCO’s initiative will boost Odisha’s downstream aluminium ecosystem, create jobs, and attract major investments,” said CMD Brijendra Pratap Singh. Industry leaders likened the park’s prospects to the success of the Gopalpur Industrial Park.

With strong policy support, strategic location and assured raw material supply, the Angul Aluminium Park is fast emerging as India’s key aluminium downstream hub.
