Navin’s has won the 17th CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2026 for Navin’s Hanging Gardens at Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam, Chennai. The project was recognised by the Construction Industry Development Council under the Best Construction Projects category for its innovation, design and sustainability.
Inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the residential project combines heritage-led design with contemporary urban living. It features vertical green spaces, expansive terraces, unconventional layouts and lifestyle-focused planning. Multiple architects contributed to the project, giving it a layered architectural identity while maintaining a unified design vision.
The planning was detail-driven, with a focus on differentiated living spaces instead of standard configurations. Sustainability remained central to the project, which is IGBC certified with a high rating. The development prioritises natural light, ventilation, water conservation and efficient material use.
Kalyanaraman, Chief Operating Officer, Navin’s, said the award reinforces the company’s commitment to residential design, sustainability and customer-focused development.
Navin’s has completed over 128 projects in Chennai over 36 years and has won more than 60 awards, including recognitions from CIDC, Builders Association of India, PMAY, IGBC and ET Now.
