The contract, awarded under the Project Management Consultancy model, covers an academic building, hostel infrastructure and related external development works with utilities and civil infrastructure. The project will be executed on the university campus in Keonjhar district to strengthen institutional capacity as the university scales up academic programmes and student intake. Dharanidhar University was granted university status in 2023 and is upgrading its physical infrastructure to meet growing enrolment.

For NBCC the order adds to its order book as the company diversifies across institutional, residential and government projects. Operating under the Project Management Consultancy model, the firm typically earns fees as a percentage of project cost, allowing it to take on large public sector assignments with limited balance sheet exposure. The win reinforces NBCC as a preferred execution agency for central and state government-backed projects and extends its work across education, healthcare, housing redevelopment and urban infrastructure.
