NBCC Secures Rs 395 Million in New Government Contracts

NBCC has secured new work orders totalling Rs 395 million (mn) from defence, a power grid entity and the Delhi Development Authority as part of its ongoing project management and infrastructure operations. The combined value comprises three contracts awarded in recent procurements that span construction of specialised facilities, office renovation and interim operations and maintenance services. The awards reinforce the company's role as a principal project management and infrastructure execution agency for public sector assignments.

As project management consultant (PMC), NBCC will undertake a defence infrastructure project at Ordnance Factory Chandigarh that requires delivery of a building with a Class 100,000 clean room facility to support testing, overhaul and maintenance of electro?optic devices including INS?SIGMA 30 N and TISM platforms. The defence assignment is valued at Rs 203.5 mn and involves coordination of technical, quality and schedule obligations across contractor and vendor teams. The appointment reflects continued demand for specialist facilities that enable maintenance, testing and refurbishment of defence equipment.

The company will also execute planning, design and civil renovation works for the regional office of Power Grid Corporation of India at Grid Bhawan in Jammu, a contract awarded for facelifting and associated civil works. That order is valued at Rs 169.9 mn and encompasses architectural upgrades, structural interventions and services retrofits to modernise the office complex. Delivery obligations will require staged works to maintain operational continuity for the utility's regional functions.

The third contract is an interim operations and maintenance assignment for Bharat Vandana Park in Dwarka Sector?20 awarded by the Delhi Development Authority and valued at Rs 21.6 mn. NBCC has stated that all three contracts fall within its normal course of business and that the fresh orders strengthen its pipeline of government projects. Project particulars have been published on the company's official website for public disclosure and to support transparency in procurement and execution.
