NCVET Recognises Haryana Knowledge Corporation as Awarding Body

The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) signed an agreement with Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) on 10 April 2026 to recognise the latter as an Awarding Body in the dual category for Pan-India operations. The signing took place in the presence of Smt. Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Chairperson of NCVET, and Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Gaba, Executive Member of NCVET. The agreement establishes a regulatory framework authorising HKCL to perform awarding functions for approved vocational qualifications.

Under the recognition, HKCL is authorised to award, assess and certify learners for its approved qualifications across India, including through its own campuses and training centres fully owned or managed by the organisation. The authorisation covers assessment and certification processes aligned with NCVET standards and allows HKCL to expand its delivery footprint across states and union territories. The arrangement aims to standardise certification outcomes and uphold quality assurance in vocational education.

HKCL is expected to leverage a structured and scalable training ecosystem to bridge the gap between education and employment and to contribute to the creation of a future ready workforce in line with national skilling priorities. The partnership is designed to facilitate industry relevant training pathways and to support employability through accredited assessments. Stakeholders will be able to align curriculum design and assessment methodologies with national competency requirements.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship released the statement through Press Information Bureau, PIB Delhi, indicating that the recognition will enable pan India certification by HKCL under NCVET oversight. The press release carried Release ID 2250934 and was posted on 10 April 2026. The communication noted that HKCL may operate through owned or managed centres for delivery and certification.
