The National Industries Research and Development Council (NIRDC), an autonomous institution operating under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, has announced the development of InDApp, an indigenous digital platform designed to enhance MSME engagement and visibility across India. The nationwide B2B marketplace aims to help create internationally competitive Indian brands, promote artisans and craftsmen, and strengthen MSME contributions to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Backed by eight ministries, InDApp has been created specifically for MSME entrepreneurs and offers an extensive range of services—from access to government schemes and capital, to enhanced business visibility, training and capacity building. The platform significantly boosts digital access for small businesses through a simple mobile interface.

Seen as a technological leap for the MSME sector, the app provides a multi-functional marketplace where businesses, including those in remote regions, can list their products and services, discover other enterprises nationwide, and participate in a unified commercial ecosystem.

NIRDC, the nodal body behind the initiative, operates in close coordination with various government agencies to streamline access to resources and support structures. This integrated framework ensures a holistic approach to policy execution and industrial facilitation.

“By integrating physical outreach with digital support, InDApp creates a seamless interface promoting transparency, efficiency and inclusive participation. Even the smallest enterprises can access national and global opportunities,” said Shambhu Singh, National Chairman, NIRDC.

Available on a subscription model, the app can be downloaded from both the Play Store and App Store. It provides real-time updates on government schemes, notifications on business events within the MSME sector, and a networking page that enables entrepreneurs to connect like on social media platforms.

“InDApp is a core technological innovation for India. Its multi-sectoral and multi-utilitarian model helps centralise access and simplify navigation through bureaucratic procedures, reducing the time and effort needed to benefit from government initiatives,” said Lalit Varma, Vice-Chairman, NIRDC.

The app’s formal launch is scheduled for 26 November by the Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Ministries whose schemes and permissions will be integrated include Food Processing, Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Commerce and Industry, Environment, Corporate Affairs, and New and Renewable Energy.

Additional Notes (with conversions): • One Nation, One Platform for MSMEs is InDApp’s core purpose. • 388 facilitation centres currently operational; over 6,000 taluks will be covered by December 2026. • Banks, financial institutions and NBFCs have already partnered with NIRDC to enable fundraising on InDApp. • 1,500 field agents will be deployed in the next six months; over 4,000 NIRDC staff are already active in Southern India. • InDApp is rolling out in three phases; two are complete, and SaaS features will soon be available. • Through NIRDC’s 250 International Trade Centres abroad, MSMEs can sell products year-round without an LLC licence. • ITCs in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and Kuwait will open in the next 2–3 months. • MSMEs seeking up to Rs 500 crore (Rs 5 billion) for plant and machinery (excluding land) will receive facilitation support through InDApp.
