Nord-Lock has expanded its X-series range with seven new sizes, enabling the washers to secure critical joints across more applications operating in extreme conditions. The new sizes include NLX20sp, NLX22, NLX22sp, NLX24, NLX24sp, NLX27 and NLX27sp.

The X-series combines Nord-Lock’s wedge-locking technology with compensation against settlement, helping protect bolted connections against thermal cycling, soft metal and composite relaxation, and slackening in assemblies with multiple clamped components. These conditions are common in sectors such as mining, railways, logistics and energy.

In 2025, Nord-Lock X-series washers became the first washers of their kind to receive CE marking, verified by an independent third-party body through extensive testing. Graham Souter, Vice President, Head of Business Unit Nord-Lock, said the extended range strengthens the company’s offering for demanding applications.
