Nureca to Set Up Health-Tech Unit in Punjab

Health-tech firm Nureca has received the green light from Punjab’s Department of Industries & Commerce to set up a new manufacturing unit in Village Sundra, Zirakpur, SAS Nagar. The facility will focus on producing health and wellness equipment as part of the company’s push to scale up domestic manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Cleared under the state’s Industrial and Business Development Policy (IBDP) 2022, the upcoming unit will allow Nureca to tap into state-backed incentives, improve production efficiency, and strengthen supply chain control to meet rising demand in India’s wellness market.

The new plant marks a strategic move to sharpen Nureca’s operational edge while reducing costs. The company plans to use the facility to fuel innovation, enhance product offerings, and expand its presence in the fast-growing health-tech segment.

Nureca said the expansion is aligned with its long-term growth strategy and commitment to building a stronger, more self-reliant manufacturing ecosystem in India.
