Senior officials carried out a field inspection to review the electrical network shifting works linked to construction of the KBR Park Flyover, a project designed to ease traffic congestion and improve mobility in Hyderabad. The inspection team included Hyderabad police commissioner V. C. Sajjanar, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) chairman and managing director Jitesh V. Patil and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner R. V. Karnan, along with other departmental representatives. They examined inter-departmental coordination and assessed measures intended to ensure timely completion with minimal inconvenience to commuters.

The officials visited Road No. 45 and Film Nagar junctions to identify critical bottlenecks and to plan phased execution of utility shifting to avoid traffic disruption. Officials directed that works be implemented in phases through close coordination among the police, GHMC, traffic police and TGSPDCL to maintain uninterrupted power supply and public convenience. An action plan is being prepared to convert existing 11 kV and 33 kV overhead power lines into underground cable networks at selected locations in line with the city's future infrastructure needs and urban beautification goals.

The team evaluated ground conditions at Journalist Colony, Jubilee Hills Checkpost and the KBR Park main gate to identify stretches where vehicle speeds slow and congestion accumulates. Having identified key bottleneck points, officials emphasised that selective road widening would enable more seamless, continuous traffic movement and reduce stoppages. Directions were issued to expedite road repairs at high density spots and to address underlying drainage problems before major construction activities commence.

Officials also directed that electric poles, water supply lines, drainage networks and other utilities obstructing road expansion between Film Nagar and Road No. 45 junctions be shifted on a war footing to enable prompt widening. The officials reiterated that all precautions would be taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers during the conversion works and that safety protocols would govern the relocation of poles, overhead lines and cables. They thanked commuters for cooperation with the one-way arrangements introduced under the H-City project.
