Omaxe Names Harmanpreet Kaur Stand At Omaxe State Stadium

Omaxe announced that a stand at the Omaxe State stadium in Dwarka will be named after Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. The Harmanpreet Kaur Stand, known as the Pink Stand, will be in the north pavilion lower bowl and will have 1,500+ seats with an elevated view of the field. The stadium forms the centrepiece of The Omaxe State, an integrated sports and lifestyle destination spread over 50 acres and developed with the DDA at an investment of approximately Rs 25 billion (bn).

Bentel Associates International has been appointed to masterplan the commercial, retail, hotel, and club components and will design the fully air-conditioned retail high-street and the five-star Gateway Hotel by IHCL. More than 25 international and national consultants have been engaged to provide specialist inputs, including wind and security advisers to ensure safety and comfort for players and fans. The stadium will have a capacity of 30,000 and an indoor-outdoor sports centre linked to the main stadium block through a central plaza.

The Pink Stand is being presented as a welcoming space for women and families and will include dedicated facilities for women athletes and para-athletes, aligning with international standards. Harmanpreet Kaur contributed inputs to shape athlete-centric provisions and the naming recognises her role and the rising stature of women’s cricket in India. Planned amenities for the stadium include dedicated dressing rooms, quick-dry technology for the playing surface, an infinity pool, café and co-working spaces, and dormitory facilities for student players.

The retail component will span over 48,000 sq.mt., with high-street shopping, anchor stores and a multiplex, while the hospitality district will include a 158-key five-star hotel with 40 stadium-view suites and wellness facilities. The scheme also provides a membership-based sports club for around 3,000 members and secure connectivity, including an underground tunnel for players and dignitaries. Omaxe noted it has delivered 140.17 million (mn) sq. ft. of real estate and aims to make The Omaxe State a year-round destination.
