ORSL Secures EPC Contract for CBG Project in Madhya Pradesh

Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract from Shreyam Manek Agro Products Pvt. Ltd to build an integrated compressed biogas and biofertiliser facility in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. The facility is designed to produce 10 tonnes (t) per day of compressed biogas using agricultural feedstock and is intended to operate alongside a modern gaushala. The award follows competitive project development activity by ORSL's bioenergy vertical.

Under the scope, ORSL will take equity participation and undertake end-to-end EPC execution including detailed engineering, technology integration, supply of critical equipment, construction, installation and commissioning. The project forms part of a wider programme of 10 such integrated projects to be deployed at various locations across Madhya Pradesh with a total investment outlay of Rs five to six bn to be deployed over a period of three years. The contract classification places the order in the major scale category.

Company executives indicated that the project is aligned with ORSL's strategic focus on scalable agri-energy infrastructure and circular economy solutions. The managing director described the award as reinforcement of the company’s commitment to delivering future-ready infrastructure that bridges agriculture, sustainability and renewable energy while the chief executive of the bioenergy vertical highlighted a focus on engineering excellence and long-term operational sustainability. The statements underlined a commitment to high standards of execution and measurable environmental and economic value.

The project is expected to strengthen regional resource efficiency, promote sustainable agricultural and waste management practices and contribute to India’s broader energy transition by enabling innovative utilisation of organic feedstocks. ORSL’s operations span project development and technology licensing, product portfolios such as compressed biogas and organic manure, consulting services and operation and maintenance support. The company also cited ongoing research collaborations with academic institutions to support technological advancement.
