Patel Engineering JV wins bid for Rs 3.43 bn project in Maharashtra

Patel Engineering, along with its joint venture partner, has been identified as the lowest bidder for a water lifting project worth Rs 3.42 billion in Maharashtra. It was stated that the project, scheduled to be completed within 24 months, is situated in Maharashtra and will be carried out through a Joint Venture, with Patel Engineering holding a 35 percent stake.
According to a regulatory filing, the executive engineer's office of the government of Maharashtra has announced Patel Engineering and its JV Partner as 'L1' for the Rs 3.42 billion contract. The filing further mentioned that the contract encompasses various tasks such as the construction of water lifting arrangement work for the first stage from the submergence of the Jigaon project, including civil, mechanical, electrical components, and associated works.
Additionally, it was highlighted that the Mumbai-based engineering, procurement, and construction company possesses a notable presence in tunnelling and underground projects related to hydroelectric and dam constructions.
