Patel Engineering Wins Rs 9.58 Billion JV Irrigation Project

Patel Engineering Ltd, in a joint venture, has received a Letter of Acceptance for a Rs 9.58 billion irrigation project from the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation. The project covers pipeline network works from kilometre eighty-seven to one thirty-five on the Nira Deoghar Right Bank Main Canal. Patel Engineering’s share is Rs 1.92 billion, representing twenty per cent of the contract.
Located in Kalaj village, Phaltan taluka, Satara district, the project must be completed within thirty-six months. It involves excavation, pipe laying, valve installation, testing, and includes five years of operations and maintenance support post-completion.
The firm was earlier declared the lowest bidder. This project will enhance water infrastructure, improve irrigation, and support agricultural productivity in the region.
Established in 1949, Patel Engineering has seventy-six years of experience across hydropower, tunnelling, and irrigation segments. It has executed more than eighty-five dams, forty hydro projects, and three hundred kilometres of tunnels for government and public sector clients.
