The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) organised a one-day capacity building training programme for officers and staff of PCIM&H and DSIR-CCRUM, Ghaziabad, under Phase II of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme. The session, inaugurated by Dr Raman Mohan Singh, Director of PCIM&H, is part of the Government of India’s ongoing Mission Karmayogi initiative to promote excellence, accountability, and service orientation in public administration.

The training was facilitated by Karmayogi Coaches, Dr S.C. Verma, PSO (Chemistry), PCIM&H, and Dr Asma Sattar, In-charge, DSRI. Conducted through the iGOT Karmayogi digital learning platform, the programme focused on structured learning modules, skill upgradation, and interactive sessions to enhance the professional capabilities of government personnel.

Mission Karmayogi and the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme aim to transform governance by instilling a spirit of Seva Bhav (service orientation) among public servants. The iGOT Karmayogi platform offers continuous professional development, enabling government employees to stay current with evolving competencies while reinforcing citizen-centric governance and ethical practices.

The training highlighted the importance of capacity building for improving service delivery to citizens. Participants were encouraged to apply insights from the session to their professional roles, furthering the mission’s goals of accountability, professionalism, and effective governance.

Aligned with the Capacity Building Commission’s vision, the initiative reflects PCIM&H’s commitment to developing a skilled, responsive, and future-ready public workforce. Participants expressed enthusiasm for the tools and frameworks introduced during the programme, reaffirming their dedication to public welfare and continuous professional growth.
