PG Electroplast, PAX India Partner To Make POS Devices

PG Electroplast Limited (PGEL), one of India’s leading Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers, has signed a definitive agreement with PAX India, a subsidiary of PAX Global Technology Limited, to manufacture Point-of-Sale (POS) devices in India.
Production of PAX-branded POS devices will begin at PGEL’s existing facilities by the end of 2025. The partnership marks PGEL’s entry into the payments and financial technology hardware sector, expanding its business beyond consumer electronics into fast-growing digital infrastructure solutions.
Vikas Gupta, Managing Director – Operations at PG Electroplast, said the tie-up would bring advanced digital payment solutions to India under the government’s Make in India initiative. He added that PGEL will be among the few Indian companies manufacturing POS devices, further diversifying its portfolio and reinforcing its position in high-growth technology categories.
Sanjeev Sandhu, CEO of PAX India, said the collaboration will enable world-class, locally manufactured POS solutions in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital payments markets. He noted that combining PAX’s technology leadership with PGEL’s manufacturing expertise will improve reliability, scalability, and localisation.
The agreement supports the Government of India’s Make in India and Digital India missions, ensuring secure, reliable, and locally produced POS devices to meet rising demand.
