The Network Planning Group (NPG) under the PM GatiShakti initiative reviewed 19 major infrastructure projects worth around Rs 695 billion during its recent meeting. The proposals span multiple ministries and focus on enhancing multimodal connectivity, reducing logistics costs, and improving last-mile access to industrial and economic hubs.
Projects under review include new rail corridors, highway expansions, and port connectivity initiatives designed to strengthen the country's integrated infrastructure network. These projects are aligned with the National Master Plan for Multimodal Connectivity, aimed at ensuring coordinated planning across transport sectors.
The review underscores the government’s continued focus on accelerating infrastructure development through the PM GatiShakti platform, which brings together 16 ministries for integrated decision-making and project execution.
