PM launches Rs.52 billion development projects in Siwan, Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for infrastructure and welfare projects worth over Rs.52 billion in Siwan, Bihar. Highlights include the Vaishali–Deoria railway line, Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express, six sewage treatment plants under Namami Gange, and water and sanitation projects. Modi also flagged off Bihar’s first export-bound locomotive from Marhowra. A 500 MWh battery storage system across 15 substations was announced to improve power reliability. He lauded Bihar’s development, noted the construction of 57 lakh PMAY homes, and emphasised inclusive growth, manufacturing, and poverty alleviation across the state.
