PM Modi Inaugurates Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Rashtra Prerna Sthal in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a national memorial dedicated to the life and ideals of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, coinciding with his 101st birth anniversary. The Prime Minister said the site symbolises India’s journey towards self-respect, unity and service, and reflects the spirit of Sabka Prayas in building a Viksit Bharat.

Developed at a cost of about Rs 230 crore and spread across 65 acres, the complex features 65-ft bronze statues of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, along with a lotus-shaped museum showcasing India’s national journey through digital exhibits. Built on reclaimed land previously used as a dumping ground, the project underscores sustainable urban transformation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the role of Antyodaya through saturation-based welfare delivery, infrastructure expansion and self-reliance, noting that such initiatives are reshaping Uttar Pradesh’s development narrative. He said the memorial will serve as a lasting source of inspiration on leadership, good governance and national service for future generations.
