PM Modi Launches Rs 82.6 Bn Projects in Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 82.6 billion in Uttarakhand, marking the state’s 25th Formation Day celebrations.
The projects cover multiple sectors, including drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports, and skill development.
Among the inaugurated projects are the Dehradun Water Supply System covering 23 zones under the AMRUT scheme, a new electrical substation in Pithoragarh district, solar power plants for government buildings, and an AstroTurf Hockey Ground at Haldwani Stadium, Nainital.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to transforming Uttarakhand into a model hill state, ensuring balanced progress across infrastructure, education, and clean energy sectors.
The initiatives aim to strengthen urban amenities, enhance irrigation and power access, and create new opportunities for youth and sportspersons, contributing to the state’s long-term growth and sustainability.
