PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone, Inaugurates Key Projects in MP’s Dhar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. Addressing the gathering, he paid homage to Goddess Vagdevi, Lord Vishwakarma, and the legacy of Maharaja Bhoj and Maharshi Dadhichi, while reaffirming India’s commitment to national pride and security.
Marking the day, the Prime Minister announced the foundation of India’s largest integrated textile park in Dhar, expected to boost the textile sector by providing fair value to farmers and creating large-scale youth employment.
Highlighting women’s empowerment, he launched the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, focused on free health screenings for women, covering conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes, anaemia, tuberculosis, and cancer. All medicines and tests will be provided free of cost, supported by the Ayushman Card. The campaign will run until October 2.
PM Modi also announced the launch of the Madhya Pradesh edition of the ‘Aadi Seva Parv’, connecting tribal communities directly with government schemes. Addressing the challenge of sickle cell anaemia, he noted that over five crore individuals have been screened nationwide, with the one croreth screening card distributed in Madhya Pradesh.
The Prime Minister further highlighted the government’s efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality through the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, under which over 4.5 crore mothers have received Rs 19,000 crore in direct benefit transfers since 2017. On the day, financial assistance of over Rs 450 crore was credited to 15 lakh women in a single click.
Emphasising India’s four pillars of development—women, youth, the poor, and farmers—the Prime Minister said the projects launched in Dhar will strengthen the nation’s journey towards a developed India.
