PM Modi To Inaugurate Bhogapuram Airport On August One
The Home Minister directed officials to ensure proper coordination among departments to facilitate the smooth conduct of the programme and asked for seamless management of crowd and traffic. Folk art performances showcasing the culture and traditions of North Andhra are planned to welcome the Prime Minister and entertain attendees at the public meeting. Organisers have set up the venue to accommodate guests and stage cultural segments.
Elaborate preparations are under way for the inauguration and the public meeting across a 60-acre venue, with parking facilities organised for around 3,000 vehicles. Security arrangements have been divided into four sectors to enable effective crowd control and traffic management, and district authorities are liaising with state and central agencies on deployment. Logistics planning includes entry and exit routes, medical posts and communications infrastructure to support it.
The new international airport is expected to significantly improve air connectivity in North Andhra and provide a major boost to tourism, industries and regional economic development. Commercial flight operations are expected to commence shortly after the inauguration, with officials coordinating to finalise slots and airline services. Stakeholders in tourism and logistics have been apprised of the facility and preparatory work to integrate it into regional transport networks is under way.
The district machinery is working with complete readiness for what officials termed a historic milestone and a long-cherished dream of the North Andhra people, according to a post shared on X by the Home Minister. Local administration has been instructed to ensure civic services and crowd amenities are in place to accommodate visitors. Further updates on the schedule and operational details are to be released by authorities ahead of the event.
