PM Unveils Rs 48.52 Billion Projects in Bihar
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched
and dedicated development projects worth over Rs 48.52 billion in Karakat,
Bihar. These include power plants, expressways, rail lines, airport upgrades,
and agriculture support initiatives.
Addressing the event, he recalled
fulfilling a national pledge after the Pahalgam terror attack, underlining
India's strong response through Operation Sindoor. He saluted Bihar’s
contribution to the armed forces and honoured fallen soldiers.
Highlighting efforts to curb Maoist
activity, the Prime Minister stated that districts under Naxal influence
reduced from over 125 to only 18 since 2014. He affirmed the government’s
commitment to security, education, and development in rural areas.
Among key announcements were modernisation
of Patna Airport, new railway lines, green energy initiatives like solar parks,
and thermal power projects worth Rs 29.93 billion in Nabinagar. Multiple
highway and bridge works will improve regional connectivity.
Support for agriculture was emphasised
through the establishment of a Makhana Board, GI tag recognition, and an
increase in Minimum Support Prices for 14 crops. Over 75 million farmers
benefit from the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
The Prime Minister concluded by reaffirming
the vision of a developed Bihar aligned with national growth goals.
