PMI to invest Rs 12 billion in Rajasthan EV manufacturing hub
PMI Electro Mobility Solutions will invest Rs 12 billion to build the state-of-the-art plant, under a memorandum of understanding signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit held in Jaipur in December 2024. In addition to assembling electric buses, the unit will also manufacture bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, wire harnesses, and other key components.
The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has allocated land for the project at Ghiloth. A delegation from PMI Electro Mobility Solutions met Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday to brief him on the company’s plans, which include an annual production capacity of 33,000 units.
Chief Minister Sharma said the investment would position Rajasthan as a leading hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in India. “This initiative will create numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities for the youth, who will also receive specialised training in electromobility,” he stated.
The project is expected to drive green industrialisation, reduce environmental pollution, and promote sustainable urban mobility in Rajasthan. It will also boost the local economy through increased manufacturing and employment generation.
The visiting company delegation included Managing Director Satish Kumar Jain, Chief Executive Officer Anchal Jain, Executive Director Gajendra Yadav, and Plant Head Harish Yadav.
